The nostrils are structures eminently or exclusively cutaneous, without any internal skeletal support elements. Their size and shape are directly conditioned by the amount of skin, but also indirectly conditioned by the structural support of the tip and its annexes. Once we consider the structure of the nose is adequate we can assess the size and shape of the nostrils to proceed to their adjustments, always by means of skin resections aiming to trim them down in wedges, strips, fleur de lis or T, rhombus, comma, crescents, etc, leaving visible scars concealed in creases.
