Anatomical shape

In order to simplify concepts can be said that there are two profile shape groups of breast implants, the spherical profile, also called round shaped, and other with anatomical profile, also called teardrop shaped. With both models patients can achieve good results however only with anatomical ones the outcome does reach an outstanding level of beauty and naturalness, thus making current surgical trends and preferences of patients massively prone for the use of anatomical models which are way more requested.

Nipple downwards both profiles have identical shape and provide the same breast effect, which is a round, curvy or belly shape contour, being the differences between their results visible only in the upper half of the breast; these differences are more remarkable the more slim or skinny the patient is, the less amount of own patient's breast tissue is supplied on top and the larger the patient wishes the size of the breasts.

The modern and updated breast implants profile shape is teardrop shaped. These prostheses replicate the original structure of a natural breast, being round shaped at their lower half and differentially slope shaped at the upper part of the breast and the cleavage; their main advantages are their more natural results, better fullness at the upper part of the breast and cleavage, don't form a step or ball fake look at the cleavage and do replicate with fidelity the normal shape of a mammary mound regardless the size desired by the patient.

Anatomical breast implants are the state of the art in breast surgery of any kind, primary or revisional, with or without association of breast lift mastopexy, breast reduction, tuberous breast correction, etc.
